How whitening works at our practice

We then apply a mild, tooth-friendly bleaching gel that penetrates the enamel and converts unwanted colour pigments into colourless substances. This effect is further enhanced with a special LED light technology – for a particularly even and long-lasting result.
Care after whitening – how to keep your smile radiant
Immediately after the treatment, your teeth are particularly absorbent. To ensure the result lasts, we recommend a “white diet” for the first three days – i.e., avoiding strongly staining foods such as:
- Beetroot, carrots, or spinach
- Tomatoes and dark sauces
- Berries, cherries, grapes, red wine, or coffee
After that, you can enjoy everything as normal again – ideally with consistent oral hygiene and regular preventive care with us.
At-home whitening? Please be cautious!
Over-the-counter whitening products such as strips, pens, or trays promise quick results, but their effect and safety are often difficult to control. If the gel comes into contact with the gums or mucous membranes, it can cause irritation or even chemical burns. Home remedies such as lemon juice, baking soda, or salt can also cause lasting damage to tooth structure.
Our advice: Choose gentle, professional teeth whitening under dental supervision – for visible results without risk or irritation.
